Martinborough Museum collects, preserves and displays material and information relating to the natural and cultural heritage of Martinborough and the South Wairarapa.
Built in 1894
The Martinborough Museum building was designed by renowned architect Charles Natusch. It opened in 1894 as the town's library. Accommodation for the librarian was added in 1906. It remained a library for over 80 years before becoming the museum in 1978.
